The Perfect Prep® Machine is designed for use with water straight from the tap. Although the antibacterial filter may look a lot like other water filters, it contains a unique internal membrane. This filtration membrane is designed to remove bacteria, impurities and contaminants that can be found in water to ensure it’s clean and safe just like boiled water from a kettle.  
 
Other standard water filters may not include this antibacterial system so these will NOT remove bacteria. To be sure you’re protected from bacteria, it’s important you use our antibacterial filters in your machine. Please note that even if they vary in appearance, they’ll work the same if they’re Tommee Tippee branded.
