After your item has sold we transfer your share of the sale price to your bank account

We pay out based on a sliding scale. The more your gear sells for the more you make.

Pricing
You can submit the price you would like to list your gear for. We will approve or reject your submission based on item condition, market demand and similar listings.
For items that have not sold after 30 days we drop the price by 5% every 10 - 20 days. This minimal price drop promotes your item to potential buyers that have signed up to receive price drop notifications and ensures your item is competitively priced.

What can I sell on SecondGear?

- High Chairs & Booster Seats (Must be SUPER clean! For safety reasons, we are unable to clean left over food off of any items)

- Potty Training Gear (Must be SUPER clean! For safety reasons, we are unable to clean bodily fluids off of any items)

Unaccepted items:
- Broken/recalled or otherwise unsafe items
- Car seats & car seat bases
- Large or bulky items e.g nursery furniture
- Footwear & clothing (baby, kid, and maternity)
- Stuffed animals
- Books
- Bedding (sheets, crib bumpers/liners, blankets, changing pad covers without a pad, etc)
- Feeding Gear (bottles, bibs, cups, utensils, nursing covers, cart covers, etc)
- Strollers and bike trailers that are more than 10 years old
- Items that are outdated or have reached their end of life
How much does it cost to list my items?
Its free to submit and list your items. If your item sells we take a share of the sale.
When will I get paid?
Payments will be made up to 14 days after the successful sale of the item. You will receive a payment notification via your registered email address.
How will I get paid?
We will transfer your payment to your bank account directly. You can add or edit your bank details via your seller profile.
How do I get the items to you?
Our courier partner will contact you to schedule a pick up date and time.
How should the item be prepared for pick up?
Small items where possible should be boxed or bagged. Larger items such as cribs or strollers should be dismanteled / folded down. Our collection partners will not accept assembled bulky items.
What happens if my items don't sell?
We hold all items for 120 days during which time we run marketing campaigns to attract buyers. After 30 days if your item hasn't sold yet, we will start to enable other sale strategies including "price drop". This is where every 10 - 20 days we reduce the price of the item by 5 - 10%. This enables us to market the item to a wider range of buyers. If your item still hasn’t sold after 120 days, you can opt to have your item returned to you
What condition do my items need to be in in order to pass the quality check?
All items undergo a quality and safety check by our in-house quality assurance team to ensure the items are in working condition and safe to use and that the condition we list it for is accurate. Our team will check for recalls to ensure there are no safety issues, they will verify that all parts are present and functional and will wipe down the item and photograph it for listing. Items need to be in working condition with expected amount of ware. Damaged, heavily used or items deemed unsafe will not be accepted. We also reserve the right to reject items due to changes in demand.
What happens if my item doesn't pass the quality check?
If the items cannot be sold at all on our site, we will notify you via email with information on how to arrange for the items to be returned to you.
What if I want my item back?
If your item is listed and hasnt sold yet you can arrange to have it delivered back to you for a 35 AED administration fee.
